What's the fastest you've gone in your 6.2L, 373:1, 6-speed 2014 GMC Sierra SLT 4x4?

My previous truck was a 2000 Silverado Z71 and it was governed at around 98mph.

I see my speedometer goes to 140 but am curious what the top end is on these things.

 

I don't have a real good area to open it up and see.

Governed again. No need for a debate AGAIN... It will be governed in the range of 98-105 depending on who you ask. Best way to find out, pin it and go by a cop. See what the ticket says

I read that other thread which I missed.

My question was based on curiousity, not intent.

The reason I wondered is because I remember 15 years ago being surprised that my 2000 was governed at all. I noticed my speedo goes up to 140 and wondered if they lifted the top speed.

Note in my original post that I stated there's no good place around me to open it up. That includes multiple expressways, tolways, and highways. That's why I asked instead of attempted.
